Grantham University Student Receives Imagine America
Scholarship
Kansas City, Mo. - December 8, 2009 - Grantham
University, www.grantham.edu, an online university
specializing in educating working adults, announced that
student, Christine Glover, was awarded a $1,000
scholarship to use toward her tuition at Grantham
University through the Imagine America Foundation's (IAF)
Adult Skills Education Program.
"Christine was chosen as a scholarship recipient because
of the importance she places on earning a college
degree," said Dr. John LaNear, president of Grantham
University. "She has proven to be an exemplary student,
all while raising a family and encouraging her husband
as he pursues his college degree."
Glover, a military wife of 18 years, chose Grantham
University's Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice
because of a love for computer forensics. She is looking
forward to beginning a career as a Computer Forensic
Technician, but even more than that, she wants to be the
best role model that she can be for her son.
When asked what she enjoys the most about Grantham
University, Glover responded, "The convenience of going
to school and not leaving the house is the most
cherished thing about distance learning; it provides me
with more time with my family."
Since 2008, Grantham University has supported Imagine
America's Adult Skills Education Program, a national aid
program established in 2008 to assist adult, non-traditional
learners in their quest for higher education. This year,
Grantham University is committed to funding and awarding
